Not necessarily true- if all/most flights are domestic you can do a lot of flying and only hit 50-60k miles. I didn't get EXP until longhaul international travel became a bigger portion of my flights.
Very true. I could fly roundtrip on a YUP from SAN to DFW every other week and never hit EP - I'd still be almost 10K pts short. I've never even come close enough to EP to think about a MR...
