I think it would be clever and neat if some ambitious person could create an online e500 cert trading system among the members here, where you would periodically upgrade members (or their desired sponsorees) you happen to fly with (and wouldn't have otherwise known about), and in return you would be able to "sponsor" your friends/family by having them be recipients correspondingly the other way. It would sort of be like the RCC-meeting thread, but in a more automated way where you could put in your itineraries and an automated system could match you up with someone needing/wanting to give an upgrade.

It might be difficult to track/make equitable the number of times people give/receive, but it could be done I think. And it seems like it would be a great way to get around the e500 restrictions. As it is, I have dozens sitting unusable in my account...
