Just did this today as a *silver (2P). Have SFO-CLT red eye and did the live chat through the US website and the agent was happy to put me in an exit row along with my 2p g/f. I was happy as have taken this flight before and it was quite painful in the 31" pitch of US...and they have really uncomfortable seats too!!! So big ^ to US for allowing this!!!
