Note that if you book anywhere other than copaair.com you will have to call to do anything with your reservation, as they don't have a way to look up reservations that were made through other channels on their site. The 2K OP miles may not be compelling, but access to the reservation online might be a good reason to book there.
I'll probably call Copa after I book with Cheaptickets to get my seats assigned. (How soon after I book can I call?) And then once Copa joins skyteam (hopefully in September), I'll call again and add my Delta number.

Do you think that will work?
