I'm just surprised that it's taken the business community so long to realise what a hellhole LHR is - I live in the north of the UK and for the past several years - ie BEFORE 9/11 - I plan my holidays so that I can avoid going anywhere near London if possible.

Because of lack of affordable options I've had to use LHR twice in the past 2 year - both in August, both had major problems due to the Gate Gourmet strike & the liquid bomb threat.
