Cassette tapes through X-ray
I'm pretty sure of the answer, but I ask anyway:
Will an airport X-ray machine harm cassette tapes? I have several cassette masters of a family history recording from the early 80's. I've already transfered them all to digital media, but I'd like to keep the originals in good condition.
I suspect that the carry-on X-ray will have no harmful effect on a cassette tape, but I'm throwing the question out there to see if anyone has first-hand experience.
Thanks.
