Yep, I got this same great service on our "2fer" 1st trip to LAX-LON this last January. You should be escorted with your bags into a special VIP room just to the left of the International Check-In counters. Sitting down at the desk, the Red Carnation person will check your bags, issue your boarding passes and Arrivals By United pass, and then escort you to the 1st Class Lounge (enjoy the massage chairs!).
