As others have pointed out, your answer is actually a mileage run / mileage runs to get that status, free domestic upgrades, 8 eVIPs, etc. At least some of us would consider it worthwhile to do so. Or you can spend big bucks for the prepaid travel, if it would be worth your while and you enjoy making interest-free loans - use your Citi AA Business card and you at least could earn 40k RDMs...
