I had a decent stay here last week. I usually stay at the Park Hyatt, which I think edges out the W in terms of sophistication but I liked some things about the W. I was upgraded to a media suite, which was kind of surreal. Very red and a round bed and tons of electonrics (but dead batteries in 2 remotes!). The bar was hopping (it was a Thurs night) and all of the food I ordered for room service was good but prices were kind of steep. I also had great service and great Plat recognition, plus no language problems. Actually, the service was so good that folks remembered my name and addressed me several times during my very short stay. At the PH I feel as if I have a nametag on my back or something, so I had some pretty high expectations for the W.
I had meetings the mid-day on Friday near the Westin Chosun, and it was only about 15-20 minutes over there in the late morning. But the location of the W would be terrible for commuting during morning traffic. By the way, the Westin is just ok in my book, I stayed there Friday night. I've been in much nicer Westins. Overall, given the traffic in the city, I say stay where you'll be working unless you have lots of time to commute.
