The only way I know to "buy" EXP status is to drop $20K in pre-paid flights. Not a great idea to do when you already have 80k EQM, because in that instance, you could do a mileage run for 20K EQM much less expensive. If you really wanted to "buy" EXP status at this point, why not just fly to Australia and back on one of the cheaper $999 Round Trips... that should get you 14K each way, and somewhere over Tahiti on the return you would be EXP.
