There have been quite a few threads on this matter.

The main problem...it's a very popular route with +90% capacity on each flight.

First bit of advice to give you in relation to award travel on the TLV route is

1) give at least a 6 month window before booking.

2) forget LHR-TLV BA163 or TLV-LHR BA162, both are 767's and have very limited award availability in WT+ or CW.

3) July/August/September & December are very busy months in the Jewish calendar also for Tour Groups.

Moral of the story...book as far in advance as possible and remember you'll get your money and award miles back if you decide to cancel.
