I need to fly to CAN, but with the fares upwards of $1,700 on UA compared to sub-$1000 fare on CO to HKG, I decided to take CO nonstop EWR-HKG (even with their terrible Y pitch). I really hope UA would match CO fare to HKG from NYC area as I would need to make a push for 1P this year.
