The Thecus boxes get great marks for speed at tomshardware.com's Small Network Builder subsite, but they knock them for noise, user interface and some bugs.

I'm waiting to see what Infrant/Netgear will release as the NV+ design is several years old. Infrant products were very noisy and they lessened that significantly based upon feedback from the large user community. Hopefully Netgear will value the users as much. The large, active user community is a major plus for Infrant products.
