Unfortunately, it happens too often. In my case. it happens about 3-4 times per year.
Some hotels are just worse than others.
In my case, I have an issue right now that I will have to fax over on Monday. I stayed for three nights and they credited me for two. They got the points right, but not the stays.
Generally, a fax takes care of the problem, but there have been times when I have had to send a second fax over to Marriott. I now write on the second fax in big letters...."SECOND REQUEST" and this takes care of the problem rather quickly.
