My domestic widebody trips were two: a DC10 from San Jose (really!) to MSP (upgraded as a Gold, so this would have been 1999)

And a flight on a 747 from DTW to MSP, about the same time. Multiple DTW-MSP flights had been cancelled and they piled us all into the 747. Sat alone somewhere in the back.

I assumed NW was repositioning the 747 and it was cheaper to fly one aircraft with everyone rather than three, but this was long ago.
