I got a $400 CS voucher from sending in a skykit, believe it or not, and am looking to buy a refundable fare > $400 soon.

Am I correct in thinking that this is a bad idea because upon any reissue, I would lose the $400 value? This shouldn't be a problem for date changes, but would be if I have to reroute, since the ticket would be reissued then, right?
