TG always blocks off all exit row seats until check in (unlike other *A like LH, SK, SQ where you can reserve them). You can't get them pre-allocated even if you are TG*G in either Y or C (unless you have other special status, which you won't be in Y anyway). But from my experience what you can do is ask for a request to be put in your details and arr. early for check in. It worked 100% for me this way in both Y & C.
