I am a MP member but dont have enough miles to qualify for Premier. Is it possible to book an Economy Plus seat? They dont show up as available when I book my seat online while logged into MP account...even though most of the plane is empty.

I think I read somewhere that you can pay a fee at check-in to get an Economy Plus seat...is this true?

Any other tricks to get an E+ seat?
