I haven't minimized my travel stuff quite that much, but I have come close. I carry a simple "card-holder" type of wallet, and carry: (1) DL, (2) AMEX, (3) Visa, (4) WorldClub membership card, and (5) health insurance card. If more places took AMEX, I'd get rid of the Visa.

I used to be less vigilant about my health insurance information, until last year I found myself in a hospital in Honolulu for 2 days in the middle of vacation. Not the most pleasant hospital, but I shudder to think where they'd have taken me if they thought I didn't have insurance.
