Well, we lose(hopefully spelled out right..) people from time to time. We get the people to the gate, and assume they can walk down the jetway by themselves. In cases where the gate have been changed, we have lost people - we didnt catch the gate change - and the pax is sitting at the same gate six hours later. Not good.
When youre traveling by yourself, you are sort of our responsibility from check-in to entering the plane. With rules regarding int'l flights etc, the wait from check in to departure might be an hour or three. As of right now, we will probably ask you to meet us at a specific place, if possible outside the security screening, some time before departure. But who knows, you may forget (Alzheimer's etc is not something we can see), or you may not even understand. We will probably find out about the Alzheimer or your lack of understanding in the papers the very next day. If you're sitting in a disabled lounge, someone can make sure you dont "run away" or get lost, and in case of evacuation, everything would me much safer. The idea of a disabled lounge is something I will introduce on our next board meeting. The option of another lounge should of course be yours to choose. The idea must of course be a nice lounge at least with some tea and coffee and some sort of snacks. It should not be a "prison"! When traveling with family or friends, this lounge would not be necessary.(?)
