I've always wished that AA.com would include the number of miles you receive when not traveling on AA metal, but as a codeshare (in the column that shows "AA flight miles" when you are booking). Right now, if the flight qualifies for earning miles (AA operated by XXX airline), the AA flight miles section is blank.

I think that would help a lot of people get their arms around when you earn miles, and when you do not. I'm not familiar with the level of technological requirements this feat would take, because of the variables:
- Is the flight an AA codeshare?
- What is the fare class?
- Is the the flight TATL?
- etc.
