Sorry this is a little OT, but have just heard that there is a new competitor coming online out of SYD to the USA - waiting for the late news to find out who it is??? Maybe NW??? Will post again once I hear.

Maybe UA might do something about the E+ product with all the competition hotting up on the LAX-SYD route Its long overdue for a decent refurb on the 747 in Y.

Perhaps on some aircraft but on the 747 its only about 34" pitch I thought UA flies the 747 on its 14 hr SYD-LAX flts. A very long time to be in small seats.

Its Virgin Blue (Australian airline). Will start flying in November 2008. Other routes not determined yet. Media suggests there will be a price war between Virgin Blue, QF and UA.....

They have new planes ^
