I actually wanted to take away a flight on an award booking (ie turn an LAS-LAX-LHR flight into just an LAX-LHR one). Told me they couldn't do it without cancelling and rebooking - which would mean I'd probably lose the seat altogether.

Anyway, if it's an award, I guess you can't add or take away any sectors.
