I first went to all three more than 40 years ago, have been back since, and was brought up in Texas to speak passable Spanish. Even then, I find the question almost unanswerable....

Granada id beautiful, far removed from the modern mainstream. Cordoba is the easiest to give a miss, simply a well-known city matcched leslewhere in historical significance. Sevilla has yesterday and today in close proximity, but an earthiness which may not appeal to all. Sevillenos can be the most purposely rude of Spaniards (although elsewhere, travelers often take minimal responses and semi-avoidance as rudeness, but it's not, simply a bit of fright and insecurity.

My trip would always if possible include a rental car, enough time to again see Cadiz and that little river port from whence Senor Colon went to sea, a and some time with the long pier at Rota in the distance, discussing the world with old men, bitter olives and chilled Manzanilla.

Salud y pesetas y amor, y el tiempo para gustarlos!
