Did you not find any 'tiny kissing lanes' to get lost in in Granada? Or visit any of the cármenes? It's a strange paragraph as it almost sums up Albaicín perfectly. Lots of tapas bars, the University ensures that there is a rich and varied nightlife (there's flamenco too if you want it), and the Alhambra is also a stunning backdrop at night.
Of course, when I think of 'tiny kissing lanes' I get a less romantic image. The stench of urine may or may not be be long gone but with little alleys with names such as "Cuesta de las Arremangadas" (slope of the ladies who draw their skirts up) it doesn't take much imagination to realise why they were drawing up their skirts not so long ago
Anyway, as you say, you were in Sevilla during its most celebrated time of the year (Semana Santa). I'm not surprised Granada left you cold in comparison.
