Marriott Denver Airport
I stayed at the Marriott Denver Airport last week and had a horrible experience that I'd like to share.... The best way to get over something is to vent, sorry.
I was in meetings until well after midnight downtown so I didn't get back to the hotel until almost 1am. At 7am housekeeping decided to pound on my door and then immediately open the door. There was no 5 second pause to see if I responded. Thankfully I had set the bar lock and they went away. 1 hour later at 8am the same thing happened, pounding on the door and then opening without waiting. It seems to me that they know who has checked out already and at 7am in the morning it might be a good idea to see if the person has checked out already or not before pounding on their door and opening it.
When I got up (It was at 8 after the second rude awakening) I was so privileged to take a shower in a tub that would not drain properly. I stood in 3-4 inches of my dirty bathwater while trying to get clean.
Upon check out the lady at the desk commented that they would send housekeeping to fix the shower, little good it did me since I was checking out, and made no apologies for the rude awakening at 7am.
I've send an email to Marriott Customer support but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about how to handle this problem if they never respond or just send a blanket sorry email.
I think you'd receive a little more for $274 a night.
Thanks in advance if anyone has advice.
