Actually, in terms of the video in the front cabin (and maybe more), you can determine which you'll have solely based on the seating chart. AFAIK, 2-2-1 a/c are DVD-players, and 1-2-2 are TV's. Having said that, some versions of the 2-2-1 (or is it 1-2-2) also have in-seat power. If you know what to expect with each varying version of the J layout, you can thus determine what you'll be getting beforehand.
