Exactly my thoughts. I am not sure I even support the Chicago-Beijing slot AA is trying to get because it inevitably means some other city pair will lose 777 service (DFW/FRA or DFW/LGW?). I would think AA will need at least 3 dedicated 777s to operate ORD/PEK, do they still have some purchase options they could call on or will it continue to be win/lose for the route system in general?

Like others here perhaps, I would rather see something like DFW/MXP or DFW/MAD before ORD/PEK. AA seems hell bent on glacial European expansion while DL and CO are on a tear. I don't expect AA to extend to every single city over 250,000 like they are, but I would expect them to bolster service where they have good network potential like MAD, HEL or BUD. But alas no, seems like all we get is more LON.

I guess I can only look forward to March 2008 when all oneworld partners (except BA) are supposed to be consolidated in LHR T3, right? Is that still the plan??
