Recently I have applied twice to open a checking account with BankDirect.com to earn AA miles, and got rejected both times.
Their reason was that the CheckSystems' record of me has too many inquiries(total of 11 since 2004 ) which all caused by other banks every time I opened CD accounts or renewed them. Since I have never had a credit trouble and my credit score is quite high enough, it is just hard to understand why they refused me for parking $100k in their bank.
Does anyone know any other factors besides credit for banks being selective on customers? I'm just curious.
