LH between Europe and Asia
To all, but Rudi especially:
When I fly LH between Toronto and Asia (in coach), Air Canada Aeroplan gives me full mileage credit for the Toronto-Frankfurt segment, but only half the actual mileage for the Frankfurt-Delhi segment. This is accordance with the membership guide rules. SO on a Toronto-Delhi roundtrip I get around 4000 miles less than what I get if I travel by United or Air Canada.
I'm currently a Aeroplan Elite but I'm seriously thinking of switching to United Mileage Plus from Jan 99, since all my Air Canada flights can be credited to a Mileage Plus account (thanks to the Star Alliance) and I could probably barely qualify for PE which is roughly comparable to Aeroplan Elite. (although PE needs 50k while Elite only needs 35k)
My question is: Does United give 100% mileage credit for the Germany-Asia segments on LH. Unfortunately LH is the preferred choice for Toronto-Delhi since it has daily flights while AC is only twice weekly and to take UA I need to fly to JFK which adds additional time and expense.
Thanks
