I agree that CO is coasting along. AA rolled out new seats, and now here comes UA with its second major product enhancement in a few years. DL is already prepped to deploy an overhauled BE product.
Although there is talk of a new BF product for the 787s, I fear it will be too late. I know CO is doing some tweaks here and there (like AVOD), but I feel they really need to get cracking on overhauling the actual seat itself.
UA has just raised the bar for the US carriers - if CO wants to outdo UA and DL, they may need to look at the product offered by some of the Asian and European carriers and see if they can leverage some of those product concepts. I don't think they can wait until 2009 - and beyond '09 by the time the remaining fleet is retrofitted.
