I agree in general with all your comments. I think they can't offer reciprocal upgrades because the programs are NOT the same in all the alliance partners. I don't think LH gives domestic upgrade certs. I find checking in at the LH lounges really makes a difference..I've been upgraded several times for nothing on LH. The red carpet clubs are worse than Delta's Crown Rooms -- I think the $$ for drinks is outrageous. The discounts for 1ks and Execs is CONSIDERABLE to join. Anyway, I generally agree.
