I'm trying to book a flight out of San Francisco to Qingdao, leaving September 3 and had the same problem with Air China's website. However, I was able to get a fare for $681 ($902 with airport taxes) through Beijing at www.bt-store.com. I have spent the past three hours checking out consolidators, referrals, travel agencies, etc. This is not only the best airfare, it is the only bargain fare that is nonstop, although there is three hour layover in Beijing.

Now, I've seen a couple posts warning against using Air China, that it's not safe and that there are often delays. Still, it's much cheaper than anything else that I can find. what have you heard? - Ariel
