Q1 You are not allowed into the (air-con) check-in hall until the counter opens. Not sure about SQ but MH counters only open 2 hrs prior to departure.

The general area of the airport is one big shed (without air-conditioning). Luggage storage room is at the arrival section (next to the tourist info desk), after customs and just before the greeting area. You will need to go against the "flow" of arriving passengers; the guards will allow you through if you let them know you want to use the storage facility.

Q2 All airlines use the one and only lounge at MLE. I believe you have the option to pay for access if you are not allowed to bring in your guest.

Q3 I must admit I enjoyed my "super" cup noodles at the airport lounge more than my curry dinner in town. From your resort, take the last boat/seaplane back to Male to minimise your time there.
