That's correct, Y and B fares are upgradeable without paying additional for all Aviators frequent flyers. As you already know Elite and below (AA Gold) pay depending on mileage for fare classes below that. Upgrades remain free in all fare classes for Elite 1 (Platinum) and Platinum (EXP).
