I have been on both Holland America and NCL. When I took my elderly Mother to Alaska, it was on Holland America.

For atmosphere, lectures, staff, room size, food, everything; I would never consider NCL over H-A, especially for an elderly person. If she dances, they still have the "social hosts" available to dance every night.
