It is worth checking whether there is a ticket number in the booking , since without a ticket number , there will be issues. I am not suggesting to not make sure all is well with the booking, just that I know of a very few specific instances of uncharged tickets , so to say it never happens is incorrect.

It is v unlikely that the OP would get a freebie and is more likely that the 2nd ticket has not yet been issued
