It's a great idea, but I see two problems.
1. Time people spend learning about travel is time they are not spending on the jobs they're paid to do. You can't just ask if it will help. Of course it will. You have to figure out if it will help as much as it will hurt on the other side.
2. A lot of this can be drummed into someone's head a bazillion times in a classroom, but won't register until the person experiences it. You can only learn so much about business travel without traveling for business - ideally with a more experienced colleague. Once you "get it," you can learn more by reading, visiting FT, etc. - but the intro stuff that's being discussed here isn't a theory subject.
