While I appreciate your asstute business sense, your knowledge of a good deal...I believe you are trying to squeeze the golden goose here.
You are clearly aware as posted earlier that wasn't a sale. You realize that the "value" (going rate/rate people as a whole are willing to pay) for that product at least 4-5k more.
My guess is that you are now trying to add some additional liability to UA on this.
Here is the deal. You didn't buy JFK-AKL. You bought SFO-AKL.
If you want a JFK AKL, then exchange your SFO-AKL for JFK-AKL and pay the going rate.
You want your cake, you want to eat it to, and you try to convince us that you are doing UA a favor by flying them?
As a side note, you clearly have the logical skills and salesmanship of a UA CEO. It appears that many of the employees are looking for a new one, maybe you should apply. I bet they would even throw in the JFK-SFO leg for free if you got the job.
