Although this may be a bit pricey and maybe wouldn't be quite right for the kids.
To follow up on njm's post, while the hotel school at Cornell is generally regarded as one of the best in the country, the Statler Hotel itself is really nothing special - I've stayed there, eaten there, and attended a wedding reception there. The rooms at the Statler will easily run over $200 a night (much higher on graduation weekends, etc.), and the quality is that of a run of the mill Hilton or Sheraton. It used to be the only game in town for a nicer hotel, but several new ones have been built in recent years, such as the Hilton Garden Inn downtown, and others up by Triphammer mall that I can't remember the name of.
