I had at least two cases where I showed the security people there my boarding pass (has PLAT clearly written on it) and they tried to direct me to the economy security line - opening up the tape barrier and pointing me at the other line. Saying "no, I am platinum, I get to use this line" two or three times, firmly, seems to help.
