This leaves many questions unanswered:

- Do TWA flight miles credited to AAdvantage count as base miles for elite qualification (as with OW partners and a few others, such as older Midway routes) or just as miles usable for awards (as with most other partners)?

- Do they get elite bonuses? If so, is it based on TWA or AA status?

- The release said "... existing Aviators account balances will be credited to their current AADVANTAGE accounts." What about Aviators miles earned in the future, from flying or from transfering in AmEx MR points? The transfer is, to quote the release again, "pending bankruptcy court and other regulatory approval." If it's only "existing" balances, is that as of the date of the release, as of the date of approval, or some other date TBD?

Inquiring minds want to know.
