I had planned on keeping my bags until I found the nearest United counter. My international segment usually gets in early as well so I would have over an hour to get to the 4:50 flight.

A cancellation wouldn't be the end of the world, but after travelling on 2 international flights on my way to St. Louis, it would be a real pain getting so close and getting stuck.

Both flights are full, but I can always hope someone missed a connection somewhere.
