I'll be booking Amex 241 reward flights soon and was wondering whether to spend an extra 50K miles to travel in First rather than Club. It will be a West coast USA flight next year, maybe into LAX and out of SFO. We've flown in Club fairly often but never travelled in First. Although I've got enough miles accrued for the F booking I don't have a huge miles balance that some people seem to have so spending that extra 50K is not a trivial decision as a change of jobs means that opportunities to collect more miles by flying will be limited.

Any views on whether the current F offering is a significant enough step up from the new Club World service to warrant spending 50% more miles?
