Per the Aviator October / November newsletter, beginning sometime this fall, TWA Aviators will begin accepting FC upgrade requests in the reservation record.

This will eliminate the need for the second phone call to request the FC upgrade at the 100/72/24 hour upgrade times.

There was no word on how the passenger will be notified, but I am sure it will be similar to AA's phone call, pager, or e-mail notification.
