I now see this statement as a sign. Either AirTran sees no need to extend the offer because a deal is being worked out with Midwest behind the scenes or Joe Leonard is arrogant enough to assume that a deal will be in the works before August 10th. As you all know, I am not a fan of Joe Leonard. I didn't like him before he came to AirTran and I don't like him now. So is the statement arrogance or reality?
