I flew AF last time from JFK. Plane taxi-ed forever after landing and parked waaaaaay out of the way. Granted these trans-Atlantic flights land quite early in the morning, I don't understand why they can't be assigned a gate instead of some open parking spots. Lots of people on flight, and we all had to cramp into a small bus with 1 seat, literally. When bus is full, driver is no where to be seen, and had to wait another 30 min in the bus. It took almost an hour from landing to the custom area. F/J passengers have no prority to custom area because everyone got off the bus at the same time. Slow service, poorly written signs and relatively bad food services (this is Paris afterall). This is a poorly design building with vast open space but very narrow walk way. Hard to get from one end to another. Unless you have at least 2 hours layover, you're almost guranteed to miss your connection. Oh, and you have to factor in their strike schedules.
I'm sure it's not the worst airport in human history, but it's pretty close. IMHO.
