I work at Pratt- You used to be able to see some really interesting things at EHT (the on-site aiport). The Air Force would do training/demos there, as well as customer demonstrations (like an NW 744 taking off and climbing at some absurd angle to demonstrate the thrust capabilities of the then-new PW4000- that was something).
