You know what. Probably GUFTing through BA has the same effect as MFUing, resulting in the RDUG tag.
However, GUFTing through a TA certainly doesn't. And AFAIK a straight mileage booking doesn't leave any mark either on the manifest.
As discussed in the other threads, I don't really see the need for the RDUG tag, especially since - in the case highlighted above - it can lead the crew (mistakenly) believing you have been opup-ed and therefore not entitled to anything.
