On the E* from Milan to Florence, I was surprised to find them bringing an airline style drink cart down the aisle in first class and the best part it was free. I didn't realize this at first, since I had just come in on the day before from Switzerland on Cisalpino 1st class and had to pay 2Euros for a bottle of water, "no gas".
